It breaks my heart a little every time I hear someone say they hated buying their home. That’s right; people have literally said the words “Oh my gosh, I hated buying our home. I was so happy when it was over.” Ugh, that last sentence is like a little extra stab to my soul. I couldn’t stand that people were having such terrible experiences. So much so that I made it my goal to put an end to hearing these terrible words. I wanted people to get their keys on closing day and say “That was a breeze! We loved every second of buying our home, we’re a little sad it’s over.” 
To be honest, I was that person who felt frazzled during our home purchase. I felt like I was just stumbling through it, frantically trying to keep up with the document requests from our lender, the insurance company, the home inspector, and just answer the questions upon questions. I don’t want people to keep having the same experience. This isn’t groundhog day people. So I asked myself, how do I break the cycle? What would have helped me feel more prepared? Personally, I can’t wing things. I like facts, timelines, checklists. and knowing exactly what I’m getting myself into (if I knew my enneagram I’d insert it here). That’s why Home Schooled was created.

Who created Home Schooled?
This course was designed by Maddy Armstrong, one of my lending partners, and myself. Our mission is to help you buy confidently by giving you the knowledge and tools you need. The Home Schooled e-course and this website have many resources, including free guides, that help you get organized and get educated about your upcoming home purchase.
