The Big Announcement for 2021

2020 has been a wild year for everyone. There’s been a lot of adjusting to what has been dubbed “the new normal.” Despite all the unpredictable events of this year though there were a lot of positives. I personally helped 24 people meet their home goals in 2020. I’ve helped 12 others get set up on the right path so they can achieve their goals of owning in 2021 and I’ve helped council dozens of others along the way in their home journeys; whether it was helping decide if they should make upgrades to their bathrooms, making a plan to sell for 2021, or even helping them decide that now wasn’t the right time for them to sell at all. This year could have turned out so many ways but overall, it was a positive year for me and I’m very thankful for what it has brought me. I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for helping me build my business as well. I’m really proud of where I am in my business. I was able to pivot when I needed to and develop tools to help buyers and sellers virtually when we couldn’t meet in person. I’ve grown my business over the past four years into something that’s allowed me to contribute to my marriage and home financially, that fills me up creatively, and that has brought me so many wonderful and supportive relationships. I’m so glad to have met so many of you on my journey in real estate and I consider so many of my clients friends now. Without your trust and support my business wouldn't be close to what it is today. That’s why I can’t wait to share with you this next exciting chapter of my business and my personal life. Without further ado the big announcement for 2021 is….

We’re adding two new members to the Sunday Homes’ home! My husband, Ricky, and I are excited to share that we will be welcoming not one but two babies into our home in the spring of 2021. Yep, we’re pregnant with identical twins!

To answer some common twin questions we get:

Yes, twins do run in my family but only fraternal twins. Identical twins are sort of a fluke. Yes, we will be finding out the gender. Have you met me? You know I HAVE to know! Look for that announcement in January. Yes, I will be sharing some design inspirations for their nursery and how we’re rearranging things a bit at home to make space for two babies. No, my feed will not turn into all babies all the time but I will be sharing more family based home tips and products in addition to the content you already see like market updates and home care reminders. I hope you are as thrilled about this exciting news as Ricky and I are. To be honest, I’ve been nervous to share it. I know there are likely a lot of questions about how this may change things in my business so I’ve answered some of the most common questions below. Overall, things will stay relatively the same. You’ll still be able to reach me, you’ll still get the same great service, and we’ll still be grabbing those friendly coffees to chat about your home buying or selling plans.

Will you still be working in real estate?

Yes! I love my job and the business I’ve built and can’t imagine not getting to help my wonderful clients and friends.

Will you still be showing houses in the spring?

Yes! I will still be showing houses. In the start of 2021 I will also be expanding my team to make sure all client needs can be met.

Will you still be taking listings in the spring?

Yes! I’m working on Seller Consults now and plan to continue working well into the spring either consulting or listing homes.

What happens when you go into labor?

I have built a strong team for Sunday Homes to make sure everyone is well taken care of when the time comes for me to have these sweet babes. Any active clients will be introduced to the necessary team members and will be given a detailed plan of action for their specific scenario to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Will your team be “taking over” or will I still work directly with you?

I plan to still be working directly with my clients. The team is here to assist with some of the background work and basic needs of completing a transaction. There may be some exceptions depending on the scenario but the majority of times you will continue to work directly with me.

Can I still contact you about buying or selling in 2021?

Of course! I’m still here and ready to help! I’m ready for a coffee (well, hot chocolate right now) whenever you are. When you think the time is right shoot me an email and we’ll set something up. I can’t wait to share in this new adventure with you guys. I’ve loved watching so many of your milestones - engagements, weddings, and starting families of your own - so I’m thrilled to be able to share one of my biggest milestones with you. These types of life events help us get to know one another better and see bigger pieces of each other's lives outside of the time we might spend together while you’re under contract. I hope you know I’m always here for you with any of your home needs - buying, owning, or listing. Now, I’ll just be doing what I love to support my family instead of just the dogs. :) Happy holidays and much love to you all.

Your Friend,

Jess
