Favorite 5: Black Friday Must-Haves 2020

People are in the swing of the holiday season extra early this year. Maybe it's always like this and I'm just embracing it more since I'm ready for some cold weather, snow, and good cheer! Either way, I started my holiday shopping extra early and have been waiting for those Black Friday deals to start popping up.  Plus, we have a few changes coming to the Deleo home in 2021 and my list of home must-haves to snag on Black Friday has been getting quite long. Thankfully retailers have hopped on board and are spreading out the deals throughout November so some of the items may already be on sale!

Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro - Cordless

We snagged a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro about four years ago on Black Friday when we bought our Australian shepherd puppy. Ricky found it on crazy sale and we have used it endlessly. I don't think the level of vacuuming we have to do would get done if I had a vacuum I had to plug into the wall in order to run it. If you've been thinking about upgrading your vacuum or a puppy is on your Christmas list this is a must-have item. It's currently on sale at Best Buy at $150 off, making it $399.99.If you miss the Best Buy deal I often see it on sale on the Dyson website, Target, and Costco on Black Friday as well.

Wusthof Classic Ikon 7-Piece Set

Crate & Barrel is one of my favorite places to stop on my Black Friday shopping. Our everyday dishes and flatware are from C&B and last year I took the opportunity on Black Friday to snag some extras of our glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware to store in the attic for when we inevitably break one of them. Something Ricky and I have been eyeing for a while is a nice  knife set. We stop and look at the Wusthof knives every time we're in Crate & Barrel. This year might finally be the year we pull the trigger on the Ikon 7-Piece Set, depending on the Black Friday deal. If you're in Richmond Ladles and Linens Kitchen Shoppe also typically has a nice holiday sale on Wusthof cutlery. I hope to hit them up first before checking out Crate & Barrel to support some of our local Carytown stores. If you're out of town for the holiday but want to shop local they have a great website with their products as well!

Ring Doorbell

With more and more home deliveries we've been looking into the Ring Doorbell system.  Amazon and Target had the Ring Doorbell 3 on sale just a few weeks ago as one of their pre-Black Friday specials. I'm hoping they come back on actual Black Friday since I missed the boat the other week. These doorbells also make great gifts if you know someone who just bought a home!

Nest Thermostat

Yes, I'm still trying to get a Nest Thermostat. I think this was on my 2019 Black Friday list too. You know, at some point on Black Friday you switch gears from buying yourself sweet gifts (come on, don't act like that's not the first thing you're doing) and switch to gifts for others. Unfortunately, the Nest hasn't made the short lit for gifts to buy myself yet. In hopes of making our lives easier in 2021, as we have some big changes coming our way, I hope this makes it into my online shopping bag.Lowe's is another retailer extending their Black Friday deals throughout the month. The Nest Thermostat hasn't hit the deals list for them yet but I think it soon will. You can check out Lowe's Gift Zone for some homeowner gift ideas too.

Le Creuset 6.75 qt

I love cooking in cast iron, but I hate the maintenance of them. The Le Creusets enamel coating makes it so I can still use cast iron pots for cooking but not worry about the seasoning of the pots. The dutch ovens are one of my favorites for cooking winter meals like chili and making shredded chicken. It's hard to justify the usual $370+ price point the larger sizes tend to run though. Since the one I currently have is only about 3 qts and I often causing a huge overflow in the pot I thought it might be time to finally upgrade.Amazon has the Le Creusets in limited colors on sale for about 30% off. You can grab some of the colors as low as $249 in their Holiday Deals section. There you have it! My Favorite 5 Black Friday items for your home. If you have a chance to grab one of these items for yourself I promise you won't be disappointed. Each of these items makes a wonderful gift for new homeowners too!

Happy Living,

Jess
